Unit 4 Researching Global Futures - Research on a choice of topical issues such as the geography of health, feeding the world's people, the geography of sport and leisure and pollution. Unit 5 Global Challenge - The study of current world issues such as population grown, migration, globalisation, global climate change, and the threats to world ecosystems. Unit 6 Synoptic Unit - issues analysis Using the knowledge and skills gained during the course to assess the impact of a particular activity or scheme (such as a new airport) on a locality. During your course you will develop: Knowledge of geographical concepts, processes, and locations; Understanding of the impact of people on the environment, and the role of people in shaping their environment; Appreciation of the current issues facing the world today; Skills that will be useful in both Higher Education and the world or work including research, data collection and analysis, writing and presentation skills, discussion and problem solving.

Entry Requirements
Normal entry requirements to A Level programmes are: To do 3 AS Levels 5 GCSEs of Grade C or above, including English Language or Maths. To do 4 AS Levels 6 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English Language or Maths with a Grade B average. Additional Entry Requirements: If you have taken GCSE Geography, you will need to have achieved a Grade A*-C.
