This course has been designed through consultation with leading employer in both the business and the travel and tourism industries. It examines tourism from an operations perspective with a strong emphasis on short to medium term planning. It includes following topics: (Level 4) - introduction to marketing; finance; introduction to business strategy; business law; tourism environment; management of people in tourism - level 5 - tourism planning and marketing; tourism and the media; urban and rural sports tourism; level 6 - management of the tourism product; cultural issues in tourism; management in practice; marketing communications.
