Course info
This course is designed for those who may come into contact with drug and alcohol users as part of their daily work, but who are not specialists and would like to learn more. It provides participants with a good background knowledge on a range of drug issues at a slightly more in depth level. Specifically the course covers the nature and extend of recreational drug use including culture, patterns of use and legal status; a range of drugs and their effects; the bio-psycho-socio model and the concept of dependency; reflection on their own attitudes to substance use and users.
